AUTHORITY BELIEVED

“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” – Mark 9:23

Jesus has given His followers authority over all the power of the enemy. But there is a difference between having authority and believing it is ours to use.
In Mark 9, a desperate father brought his son to the disciples for deliverance, but nothing happened. When the man turned to Jesus, the Lord told him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes” (verse 23). The problem wasn’t God’s willingness or power—it was the man’s unbelief that blocked his ability to receive.
In the account of the Gadarene demoniac (Mark 5:1–20), we see a man who was tormented by so many demons that he was cutting himself and living among tombs. Yet when he saw Jesus, “he ran and worshiped Him” (v.6). Six thousand demons could not stop this man from choosing to come to Christ. The devil can tempt, torment, and deceive, but he cannot override the will of someone who turns to Jesus in faith. That is the power of belief!
Having faith is what makes God’s truth alive and active in our daily lives. While the enemy may try to blind minds (2 Cor. 4:4), he cannot override faith. However, until we believe that we have the authority we have been given in Christ, we won’t walk in it.
Faith means agreeing with God, even when circumstances tempt us to doubt or fear. You have been empowered to resist the devil and manifest God’s Kingdom on earth. If you are ready to take a bold step into using the authority that is rightfully yours in Christ, here is a declaration you can make:
I embrace the authority available to me in Jesus’ name, and darkness cannot prevail against me. I stand firm in faith, speak life, and act with confidence, knowing all things are possible because I believe!
