FAITH FOR HEALING

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:24 
In Matthew 17, a father brought his son to Jesus’ disciples, hoping for healing, but they were unable to cast out the demon tormenting the boy. When Jesus arrived, He rebuked the demon, and the child was immediately healed. When the disciples asked why they had failed, Jesus answered, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20).
Healing is God’s will, but faith is necessary. Jesus healed everyone who came to Him in faith, never turning anyone away or saying it wasn’t their time. He never attributed sickness to God’s punishment or some other divine purpose. Instead, He made it clear that sickness is an effect of sin in the world and often a tool of the enemy. Acts 10:38 affirms this: “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”
Unbelief, whether from fear, lack of knowledge, or false teaching, can hinder healing. The father in Mark’s Gospel cried out, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24). Even a small amount of faith—like a mustard seed—can move mountains, but unbelief can hold back what God wants to do.
Healing is part of God’s redemptive plan. The question is not whether He desires to heal, but whether we will trust Him. You can begin today to build your faith in His Word, removing doubts, and believing that in Christ, all things—including healing—are possible!
