WHAT YOU WERE MADE FOR

“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” – Ephesians 2:13
At the center of the resurrection message is this simple but profound truth: You were created for fellowship with God. In the beginning, God gave mankind dominion over the earth (Genesis 1:26, 28), and He walked with Adam and Eve in perfect communion. There was no sin, no shame, and no lack—only relationship.
Sin broke that relationship. The fall in Genesis 3 wasn’t just about disobedience; it was about separation. “In the day that you eat of it you shall surely die” (Genesis 2:17) – and they did, not physically, but spiritually. The fellowship was broken.
Thank God for the Last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45). Where the first Adam failed, Jesus succeeded. He came in a flesh and blood body (Hebrews 2:14) so He could destroy the one who had the power of death—the devil. His death on the cross wasn’t a tragedy; it was a triumph. His shed blood cried out to heaven, “Paid in full!”
But it didn’t end at the cross. The resurrection is proof that Jesus conquered sin, death, and the grave. “He is not here; for He is risen, as He said” (Matthew 28:6, NKJV). And because He lives, you can have wonderful fellowship with God – not just someday in heaven but now.
You were made to walk with God every day. Jesus didn’t just bring forgiveness; He brought access. By faith in His blood, you can come boldly to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16) to receive mercy for your past and grace for today and all of your tomorrows.
Walk with Him. That’s what you were made for!
