BLOOD-BOUGHT REDEMPTION

For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood.  -Revelation 5:9

The Bible tells us in Romans 3:25 that God sent Jesus to be a propitiation for our sins. The word “propitiation” means a sacrifice or a mercy seat—a place where God’s justice and mercy meet. Through faith in His blood, forgiveness and reconciliation with God are given to us. The blood that Jesus shed is the foundation of our redemption, and it cleanses us, redeems us, and secures our eternal destiny.

Many today downplay the importance of the blood, but the scriptures highlight its significance. From Genesis to Revelation, the blood has always been central. In the Old Testament, the high priest sprinkled blood on the mercy seat annually to cover the people’s sins. However, this was only a shadow of what Jesus would accomplish through His death, burial and resurrection. Hebrews 9:12 explains that Jesus entered the heavenly holy place “once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.” His blood doesn’t just cover sin—it completely removes it!

Hebrews 13:20-21 reminds us that God makes us complete through “the blood of the everlasting covenant.” This blood is a guarantee that Jesus left nothing unfinished. Whatever struggle you may be going through, the blood of Jesus is sufficient to meet your need.
Jesus paid the ultimate price—His own blood—to make you free. This means that you are not bound by your past, circumstances, or failures. Stand boldly before the mercy seat, knowing that His blood has redeemed you completely.

Because you are redeemed, your life is a testimony of His grace, and through His blood, you are empowered to share His love with boldness. Let the power of His sacrifice flow through you, inspiring others to find the same redemption in Christ. You are not only redeemed; you are called to make a difference!
