The Power In You
Duane Vander Klok
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:20-21 NKJV
Our God is awesome, magnificent, all-powerful, and able to do more than we could imagine. It can be easy to forget that He wants to work in our lives and has already given us the power to use His name and authority, but according to the power that works in us, He is able to do more than we could imagine! God wants to work in your life through the power that He put inside of you.
We know that God has already supplied all of our needs, and we do not need to worry about provision, authority, or promises being unfulfilled. 2 Peter 1:3 says, “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.” God has given us every qualification and capability to build His Kingdom on earth. We need to step into the role that He made for us and realize the power that we were given by Jesus’ victory.
We can use what God has already given us by speaking out. In Mark 11:23 Jesus says, “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.” We exercise the authority over the enemy by speaking God’s Word into existence.
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His promises, power, authority, and love were not only for biblical times or eternity, but for now. God gave us the authority that Jesus won on the cross so that we could defeat the enemy and build God’s Kingdom here on earth. We are called to fight and stand in victory over the enemy today. Breakthrough is for today. Healing is for today. Ask God to show you the power He has already given you.
