Still Healing

Duane Vander Klok

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.
Matthew 4:23-24

When you are believing for healing, the first thing that you need to know is that God wants you healed and well! It is not His will for you to be in pain and suffering. Our God is a good Father, and gives only good gifts to His children. It is the will of the enemy to kill, steal, and destroy, but God wants to give you abundant life.

Hebrews 1:3 tells us that Jesus is the express and perfect image of God. Because He is the perfect reflection of God, He behaved and spoke in perfect theology. He performed many miracles and healed many people because it was God’s heart to see them healed!

It is God’s will that you are healed and whole, but our unbelief can limit what He can do in our lives. Mark 6:5 says, Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. This verse does not say He would not, but that He could not – the people’s unbelief stopped God’s will from happening in their lives.

When you are believing for healing, faith is essential. Do not allow unbelief to creep into your heart. Revelation 19:10 tells us that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecywhat He has done before, He will do again! You can stand on His promise that by His stripes you were healed.
