Say So!

Duane Vander Klok

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
Whom He has redeemed form the hand of the enemy.

Psalm 107:1-2

God wants to give you an abundant life filled with hope, joy, peace, and goodness. Every good and perfect gift is from Him (James 1:17). The devil has plans for you also – but he comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The devil’s plans will never work out for your good. But Jesus came to defeat the devil and give us the victory!

The devil’s plans for your life are not God’s will. And you can reverse the devil’s plans by speaking God’s Word over your life. God spoke all things into existence – His Word holds power! You can begin to speak His Word and His promises over your future because they hold power over the plans of the devil.

When God told Abram that he would have a son, his name was changed to Abraham meaning the father of a multitude. Even when God’s promise seemed impossible, Abraham kept God’s Word in his mind and heart. His unwavering faith was counted as righteousness in the sight of God because his new name was a continual reminder to speak the promise over himself. And today, we still know Abraham as the father of a multitude. God’s promises are powerful!

Many believers are unable to walk in victory because they don’t know who they are in Christ. Jesus paid for your victory through the cross and resurrection. He did that for you! You were redeemed by the blood and hold power over the devil. When you begin to speak the Word of God over your life, you can reverse the devil’s plans.

If you don’t know who you are in Christ, or need to be reminded, we have an article listing a number of verses and promises linked here.
