Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1

The devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy. If you let him, he will steal your health and destroy your body. Too many people believe that God gives us sickness and diseases, but the Bible teaches us the opposite. Acts 10:38 says, how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Sickness and disease are an oppression of the devil. We serve a good Father who only gives good gifts to His children – sickness and disease do not come from heaven!

Whether you receive an instantaneous miracle or go through a healing process, know that God is working. In Mark 17:17-18, Jesus said, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” When we don’t see the instant miracle it can be easy to lose faith, but know that often there is a healing process or recovery rather than an instant miracle. Do not lose hope during this time!

Faith begins where the will of God is known. We know that God can do anything, but often get stuck wondering what He wants to do. Faith can often be the missing ingredient. In Luke 8, the woman with the issue of blood touches Jesus’s garment hoping for healing. Jesus says, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” Her faith was in action as she reached out to touch Him. Build your faith knowing that God’s will is for you to be healed and whole!
