Faith to Faith
Duane Vander Klok
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
Mark 11:23
Jesus tells us in this verse that our mountains will move when YOU tell them to move. Not when God decides it’s the time, not when the mountain decides it’s time, but they move when you stand up and speak in faith.
Now, it is good to understand the principles of faith, but just knowing the principles does not equate to the spirit of faith. You can know all about the Bible, but until you put it into practice, you will not see the fruit in your life. God has so many blessings and promises for your life – He wants to bless you! He is not calling us to live in our tests and trials but to pass through them in faith. In order to receive those blessings and promises, faith is required.
Romans 10:17 says, So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Our faith grows when we fill our hearts and minds with God’s Word. So, how do we activate that faith? Well, we know that the Name of Jesus has the power to break chains, set captives free, and restore the brokenhearted. As a child of God, you have access to the power in His Name. Think about it this way: Jesus has given you the ‘Power of Attorney’ to represent or act on His behalf. When you ask in His Name, the Bible says that you will receive! Our faith is upheld by the mighty Name of Jesus.
As you grow as a believer, God will call you into things that require more and more faith. He does not leave us where we are but brings us from strength to strength and glory to glory. Faith doesn’t only see where you are right now, it sees where you are going. It requires vision and an increasing amount of trust in God.
What is God calling you to?
