To the Ends of the Earth

Duane Vander Klok

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Acts 1:8

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He told His disciples to wait in Jerusalem to receive the Holy Spirit. He knew they would need The Helper in order to continue in ministry. Just like the disciples, He has given you the Holy Spirit to guide, comfort, teach, and help you in every situation and area of your life.

When you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, there are normally a few things that happen. You may gain a heightened understanding of God’s Word, a readiness to serve, and a deeper compassion for those who do not know Jesus. But receiving the Holy Spirit will always empower you to build His Kingdom here on earth. God desires that people are healed, free, and know Him, and He wants to use you to spread the good news!

As a believer, you are called to build God’s Kingdom here and even to the ends of the earth. And the Holy Spirit will guide, comfort, and teach you in this calling, but something is required of you also. Building the Kingdom of God requires a supernatural move from God, but it also requires a move from you. When Jesus healed the sick, both a natural and supernatural move were needed: Jesus had to reach out His hands and speak the words, and then God could move supernaturally.

God wants to use you to build His Kingdom, so choose to partner with the Holy Spirit everyday, and He will use you to do great things!
