Today is the Day!

Duane Vander Klok

Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is eve a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
James 4:14 (NKJV)

Life is short. The older we get, the more perspective we gain through our experiences over the years. The older we get, the faster time seems to go. That is why the Bible tells us that TODAY, not tomorrow or next week, but TODAY is the day of Salvation.

We end up wherever the path that we are currently on leads. If it is on a road of sin, addiction, and bondage, then you will likely not end up where you want to be or where God wants you to be. It can be easy to put things off until tomorrow thinking, “Someday, I will serve God,” or “I will get right with God when…” but TODAY is the day of Salvation.

Life is short, and this is the one and only life that we have. Today is the day to repent, the day to believe in God, and the day to serve Him. Complacency, doubt, and fear of the unknown will attempt to move your heart off target from Him, but He is here TODAY. Life may be short, but God is greater than anything we can ever know or imagine. He can redeem your life no matter how “messed up” you think it is! We all simply have to make a choice.

This week, let’s confess our sins to Him and return to His presence. If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ in your life yet, let’s pray this together: “Oh God, I believe that Jesus died on the cross, and I believe His blood paid for my sins. I believe He rose again, and I give Him all of my heart and all of my life. I hold nothing back. I receive Him as my Lord, and I thank you that I’m forgiven, that I’m a part of your family, and I’m on the greater path towards you. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

If you just prayed this prayer we’d love to give you a free book called ‘Your New Life’ to help you move forward in your faith. You can request a copy be mailed to you (within the US) or you can download a copy – both are free. Here’s the link: Your New Life
