Growing Deeper; a series on Romans 1:21

Having A Good Heart (Growing Deeper; a series on Romans 1:21 – Part 6)

Your heart is either moving towards God or away from him – it depends on what you are ‘planting’ in it. If we plant the word of God and remain consistent, our faith will grow. In this message Pastor Duane explains that the more you fill your mind with things that line up with the kingdom of God, the easier it will be to hear and obey the Holy Spirit’s leading.

The Power of Meditation (Growing Deeper; a series on Romans 1:21 – Part 4)

The Bible doesn’t tell us that we are changed by prayer, it says we are transformed – or changed – by the way we think. This means that what we choose to focus on shapes our view of the world, our circumstances, and the people around us. In this message Pastor Duane explains how to control your thoughts by meditating on God’s Word, and how doing this will change the way you look at your life and the world around you.

A Thankful Heart (Growing Deeper; a series on Romans 1:21 – Part 3)

Being thankful has much less to do with our circumstances than it has to do with our heart posture toward God and who He is in spite of what we face. Thankfulness may not seem like a natural response, and it might not come easy for us, but it allows God to keep moving in our lives. In part three of the Growing Deeper series Pastor Duane will help us understand that when we are thankful and when we begin to praise God, it’s like a spiritual weapon that silences and drives off the enemy and the avenger.

But For A Moment (Growing Deeper; a series on Romans 1:21)

To focus on glorifying God, means to exalt and consider Him to be right, over our personal preference, culture, and what the world says.
In this message Pastor Duane will help us understand that our troubles and pain, however long we have them or how deep they go, are temporary compared to the eternal glory that can be found when we focus on God and what He is doing in the world.

Glorifying God (Growing Deeper; a series on Romans 1:21 – Part 1)

Scripture says that the deep in God calls to the deep in us, and the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord. This means that God communicates with us by speaking to our heart– our spirit. He is illuminating the ways we should live and go, but it’s up to us to acknowledge this by knowing Him personally, glorifying and thanking Him for who He is and what He has done.
In the first message from Pastor Duane’s new series ‘Growing Deeper’ he teaches us what it means to give God glory, why it’s an important part in our relationship with God, and how to go about doing this.
