Chain Breaker
Duane Vander Klok
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace. Ephesians 1:7
Scripture tells us that we are not our own. It teaches us that we were bought with a price, and that price was paid with the blood of Jesus Christ. It was to purchase us out of the kingdom, rule, and reign of the Enemy. When we confess and believe in Jesus, we move out of the kingdom of darkness, and we are now in the Kingdom of the Most High God and His Light. Even when we have been bought back, however, Scripture tells us that the Devil is still at work trying to destroy, condemn, and convince us to fall away from God.
In the Old Testament, Israel would make a sacrifice and spill blood in attempts to atone and pay for their sins. Once a year, the High Priests would make a very special sacrifice for the entire nation of Israel. This sacrifice and blood would cover the people’s sin for a short time, but it would need to be repeated year, after year, after year, after year. The Enemy still had a chain attached to the people of God, and they continued to sin. Here’s the good news, though, when Jesus sacrificed Himself for our sins, the chain and the power of the Enemy was broken.
We, as Believers, are not alone and His blood does not wear out, weaken, or diminish. When we confess and believe in Jesus Christ and His blood, the voice of the Enemy is no match for the voice of redemption. It is Jesus’ blood that pleads and cries out before God the Father on His throne, and it says: “God, have mercy! Forgive them! Accept them! Bless them! Heal them! Provide for them! Give them righteousness, peace, joy, and deliverance! Anoint them! Give them favor!” And so much more!
This week, let’s walk in confidence and remind Satan that because of the blood of Jesus he has no right to interfere in our lives anymore!
