Breaking Parental Soul Ties

Father, in the name of Jesus. Thank you for giving me my parents. Without them, I would not be here. But I recognize that I have an unhealthy relationship with my mom or dad. Forgive me for my part that I've played in this unhealthy relationship, and right now I forgive my mom or my dad for their part. I release them completely in the same way Jesus has forgiven me for all of my flaws and in the name of Jesus Christ, I break any unhealthy, soul tie I have to my mom or my dad. I release any fear of disappointment that I have in my heart, and I place Jesus as the highest authority in my life. I will seek to honor God over honoring or obeying or pleasing my mom or my dad. I honor them as my parents, but not as the master of my life. So by the power of the resurrection of Jesus, I break every unhealthy bond and and soul tie I have with my mom or my dad, all to the glory of Jesus Christ and to growing his kingdom.
