Faith to Receive Healing

For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Mark 5:28
Faith begins to have an effect in our lives as soon as we begin taking God at His Word. It is applicable for any needs we have—including healing. Our feelings may fluctuate, but God’s truth never does. The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5 believed that just touching Jesus’s garment would make her well. Her healing did not begin when she felt different—it began when she believed.
The Bible does not say we are healed because we live perfectly, but because of the stripes Jesus bore on the cross (1 Peter 2:24). When Jesus healed people, it was never based on their performance. He healed because He was full of compassion, and to reveal the heart of the Father. Today, healing still flows from His grace, not from our goodness.
God’s power goes to work the moment your faith takes hold of His promise. Something to remember, though, is that healing is not always instantaneous. Mark 16:18 says, “They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” That word “recover” means it may take time.
If you need healing, it is time to focus your faith on what Jesus has already paid for. Let God’s truth shape your thoughts, your prayers, and your words. Here is a declaration you can make:
Jesus, I believe that You are my Healer. By Your stripes, I am healed. Healing belongs to me—not because I earned it, but because You purchased it for me. I believe Your power is working in my body right now, and I reject every lie that says otherwise. I resist sickness, pain, and fear. I choose to trust in You and Your promises, and I praise You in advance for full restoration. In Jesus’s name, amen.
