Anointed

Duane Vander Klok

‘And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

So often Christians don’t realize that every Believer, including themselves, has an anointing on their life. Now, this anointing can increase and it can decrease over time. There are times that it is more powerful in its manifestation, and at other times not. It’s through this anointing that the Holy Spirit brings moves and brings real change. In Zechariah 4:6, Scripture tells us that is is not by might or power, but by His Spirit that lives are changed.

You see, lives are not changed because we are intelligent, or because of our own willpower to push through situations, or even by chance. All of our lives are changed by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Chains are broken, hearts are healed, souls are saved, and miracles happen by the power of the Holy Spirit.

When we acknowledge His presence, speak to Him every day, and orient our hearts, minds, and souls to Him, we begin to connect with the Holy Spirit. It’s at this moment that we allow the rivers of His blessing to flow into and through our lives. You see, His Spirit doesn’t want to just flow into our lives and stop there. Instead, He wants to flow through us to impact the world for His glory and honor.

This week, let’s first and foremost realign our hearts, minds, and spirit towards the Holy Spirit. Let’s open up the channels for the Holy Spirit to flow into our lives, and out into the world around us.
