No Other Name

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” —Acts 4:12
There is great power included in salvation that many Christians never tap into. It is the power available to each of us in the name of Jesus.
When the Bible talks about salvation, it doesn’t just mean forgiveness of sins. It also means healing, deliverance, protection, and peace. Everything Jesus paid for at the cross is wrapped up in His name. And He gave that name to every believer to use.
The difference between believing in Jesus and believing in the power of His name is huge! There is a tendency to think, “If Jesus would just come to me in person, He could touch me and change everything.” But when we believe in His name, we recognize that praying in Jesus’ name, laying hands on the sick in Jesus’ name, or speaking to a problem in Jesus’ name is just as if Jesus Himself is there.
That’s what Peter understood in Acts 3:16. He simply spoke to a crippled man saying, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And the man walked! Peter didn’t have something you do not have.
In Mark 11:23, Jesus says to speak to the mountain. Whatever mountain you are facing — confusion, fear, sickness, lack — must obey when confronted by the authority of His name. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is working in you right now.
The mountains in your life need to hear your voice. So speak boldly, and use the authority God has given you in Jesus’ name. Your victory is in His name!
