Use Your Inheritance

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits…” – Psalm 103:2

Most believers rejoice in the forgiveness of sins and the promise of heaven, but how many fully use all the benefits that Jesus made available to us? Hopefully, you are one who is taking full advantage of all He has provided.

Hebrews 2:1 warns, “We must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.” Just like Israel forgot God’s works after Joshua’s time, we can easily become distracted by the cares of life or the pursuit of worldly things. Jesus said in Mark 4 that these distractions choke the Word, keeping it from bearing fruit. Our focus must remain on God’s kingdom first (Matthew 6:33).

When Peter said to the lame man at the temple gate, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6), he wasn’t pleading with God—he was using what Jesus gave him. The man walked because Peter fully believed that Jesus’ name carries the same authority Jesus Himself walked in.

Philippians 2:9–10 declares that God “has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.” Every sickness, fear, and demonic power must bow to that name. Colossians 2:15 says Jesus “disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them.” Today, when we speak Jesus’ name in faith, we enforce His victory.

Don’t live beneath your inheritance. The name of Jesus is your authority over the enemy, giving power to heal, deliver and much more. Speak His name with confidence, knowing that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you!

Declare today: In the name of Jesus, I walk in victory, I resist the enemy, and I live in the fullness of what Christ has provided!
