God’s Power in You

Duane Vander Klok

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church. Ephesians 3:20-21

It can be easy to fall into the trap of thinking that God’s blessings are distant or unattainable. But the Apostle Paul tells us that the incredible power of God works on the inside of us. The Bible tells us more about this in Romans 8:11 where we learn that this power is the same power that raised Christ from the dead!

Think about 2 Peter 1:3, which states, “His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.” This means everything we need for life—a good and godly life—has already been provided by God’s grace. We don’t have to strive or beg God for what He has already given; instead, we must believe and receive it by faith.

Just as God prepared everything Adam and Eve needed before creating them, He has seen ahead and provided for every need in our lives. Our role is not to struggle to get God to do something but to trust in His promises and the power already at work within us.

Today, let’s shift our perspective. Instead of viewing God’s promises as far-off goals, let’s recognize that through faith, we can access them right now. You can declare with confidence that God’s power is active in your life, enabling you to experience His blessings and fulfill His purposes.

In Christ, you are already empowered, equipped, and ready to walk in the fullness of what God has destined for you. Believe His promises, trust His power, and watch to see how He exceeds your expectations!
